Essays

These are a selection of essays, both invented and from past papers. Your teacher will set you some of these to complete, generally weekly, but you should also write essays in your own time as a way of revising and consolidating. When you have completed additional essays, give them to Simon Harrison for marking and feedback.

A2 Essays

In addition to the essays set by your teacher, there will be a centrally standardised essay set by your Head of Department (Simon Harrison), which must be handed in to him. There will be two of these each term, and the submission dates for this term are:

1) Wednesday 19th October. Essay number one from this sheet

2) Thursday 1st December. Essay number one from this sheet

Do not hand these in late.

The results of these essays, together with the weekly test results will be used to judge your progress. They will obviously be included in your reports, and will also be used to judge whether you will need to attend additional lessons.
